As we close the year, we are pleased to share an update on the progress of the Lauchernalp Swiss Resort development. The past months have brought both tremendous challenges and remarkable achievements, and we are proud to report that the vision for Lauchernalp remainsfirmly on track.

The Unprecedented Event, 28 May 2025
|
|
|
After the winter season and once the snow had cleared, we officially began construction on 16 May 2025. Our teams mobilized quickly, ready to move forward at full speed.
|

Only days after opening the site, the Lötschental Valley experienced an event unlike anything seen before.

Only days after opening the site, the Lötschental Valley experienced an event unlike anything seen before. On 28 May, approximately 9 million cubic meters of mountain collapsed onto Blatten village, displacing 300 residents and dramatically impacting the valley’s landscape. This required a careful reassessment of the region and project strategy.

The Lauchernalp team reaffirmed its commitment to supporting job sustainability, maintaining momentum for tourism essential to the valley’s survival, and providing a positive focus for the community. Instead of pausing for another year, we made the strategic decision to accelerate construction and uphold our target opening of December 2026.

Despite losing nearly three months of construction time due to the natural disaster, our teams delivered extraordinary results. As of the 21 November 2025 site closure, due to snow and the arrival of winter, we are still on schedule for a December 2026 opening.
|

Top Structure &
Interior Design
|
|
|
Rubner will continue building the top structure through the winter months so that when spring arrives, final preparation and installation can begin immediately. All interior design selections and furniture procurement with Baur have been completed.
|

Exceptional Sales Momentum and Rising Property Values
|
|
|
Sales performance has remained exceptionally strong. Only one sale was lost due to the landslide. Tourmaline has only 2 units remaining out of the 21 units. Chalets are fully sold out for 2025 and 2026, with a waiting list for 2027. Phase 2 – Lazulite will launch in early January 2026.
|
|
|
|
In addition, the average selling price in the resort has increased from CHF 12,000/m² to CHF14,000/m². Our new phases will start at CHF 15,000/m², meaning our clients can already be confident that their properties have gained value.
|
|
